ABOUT US
Caren Gittlman
I am a professional pet blogger/freelance writer who resides in Michigan. I am the proud “Mom” of a Shetland Sheepdog named Dakota, and a silver-gray tabby named Cody. I began blogging in 2009 as a form of “reinvention” after falling victim to company downsizing. Prior to the company downsizing, I was employed for over 20 years in the newspaper advertising industry.
Along with having a passion for pets, I am passionate about food (both consuming it, preparing it, and photographing it!), sports, (particularly swimming, football, baseball, watching figure skating, gymnastics), music, art, (I have some drawing talent) and more! I am married and also have one grandchild. You can find me on my pet’s fan pages if you want to know more about me.
Rachel De Jong
My name is Rachel and I live in the UK on the edge of Dartmoor National park in a beautiful county called Devon. I have a male Himalayan Rex Rabbit called Speedy who is 7 and a half years old. I have been Writing a blog for him for a little over 7 years now.
I started writing for Speedy because at the time, there wasn’t much in the way of rabbit blogs and I wanted to learn more about them even though I had previously had house rabbits for the last 15 years. His blog then expanded to cover not only health and care aspects but also his emotional well being too. I wanted to expand his life experience to not only help keep him healthy but also to make him as happy as I could even though I could afford a companion.
BJ Bangs
BJ is an award-winning blogger/journalist, communications professional, and photographer. She has taken her talents to blogging and letting the world have a better understanding of cats.
Her blog #Getyourcatfix with Paws for Reflection at bjbangs.net while on vacation, traveling or at home does just that. Our fur-family friends have not only moved into our hearts as a fav pet, but they also are front and center in our lives.
It’s no surprise that cat events are cropping up as we speak, all with a bit of a different twist, but all about cats. #CatTourism is on the rise, and it’s no wonder as cats rule the Internet. At Paws for Reflection, we give you insight into all these cool cat events and places. We also tell why cats are the absolute best soul mates, sprinkling in a little humor, photos and a few feline tales, making Paws for Reflection a must stop for cat tourism information on the cat crazed Internet.
As our felines have become our best friends and obsession, it is up to us to strengthen the bond between human and felines. We talk about why cats are good for us (physically and emotionally), as well as how to keep our kitties happy and healthy, so they’ll be with us for many years to come.
BJ has been published in national cat magazines, including CFA’s CatTalk, and the former CatFancy. Additionally, she has been published online at Catster.com. She is the recipient of the coveted Cat Writer’s Association’s Muse Medallion and the 2017 Winn Feline Foundation’s Media Award.
